Driving/Motorcycle Safety
The CF Institute would like to introduce you to our many driving programs!

NEW!  Learner Permit Prep course — This one-hour prep course reviews the major sections of the official Florida Driver's Handbook and is offered immediately following the Drug Alcohol Traffic Education class on Saturday mornings.  This course prepares students for the DMV’s written test in order to obtain their learner’s permit.

Drug Alcohol Traffic Education — Our course satisfies Florida's requirements for a traffic safety and substance abuse course completion for all first time Driver License applicants.

Behind the Wheel Driving Lessons — Our private driving lessons are designed for drivers of all ages and experience levels.  We offer flexible scheduling seven days a week!  Students must possess a learner's permit or driver's license to take this course.  Ask us about our new pick-up option and our Road Test Prep course which allows students to use our car to take the road test!  Se habla Español!

Basic Driver Improvement — This four-hour course keeps the points off your license following receipt of a traffic citation and may also be taken for insurance discounts.

Basic Rider Motorcycle Course - This fast paced course is recommended for new riders and those with some riding experience.  The focus of the course is on the development of skills needed in order to ride a motorcycle and to obtain a motorcycle endorsement. Motorcycles, helmets and gloves are provided at no charge and students will use the College's bikes.  The full 15-hour class must be attended and students who are late will be asked to reschedule at their own expense.  Due to the popularity of this class, the drop for refund deadline is the Thursday prior to your scheduled start date.  Students must have a current, valid drivers license to register.

Advanced Motorcycle classes - This six-hour course enhances mental and physical riding skills.  The course includes advanced traction management, risk awareness and positioning techniques. You must have six months of riding experience and possess a valid motorcycle endorsement or a 90-day, temporary motorcycle permit to take this course.  Students will use their own bike.  Private classes are available for large groups; call 352-854-2322, ext. 1496 for details.
