Emergency One Corporate University At CFCC

Emergency One and Central Florida Community College have formed a partnership titled the E-One Corporate University at CFCC to build a top-flight workforce for E-One. The corporate university is a way to systematize and streamline learning and development efforts in alignment with the business goals. This Corporate University partners with it's local suppliers and their customers and dealers to offer training that is customized to the exact needs of the people involved in manufacturing the trucks. This includes all who are involved like the Finance department, Purchasing, Shipping and Receiving, Engineering, Production, etc. E-One realizes their "knowledge capital" is crucial to their success.

This partnership fosters the continuous development of skills and knowledge to emphasize the need for lifelong learning which is why CFCC is proud to be involved.

The Corporate University opened its doors in the summer of 1998. Since its inception, the CU has trained close to 3000 participants. Evaluations are given at the end of every course with an average score of 4.7 out of 5. The CU also evaluates sixty to ninety days after training to measure the effectiveness of the training. The majority of the feedback states that the course helpED the participant do their work faster and with more accuracy. They also say it helps the business because they accomplish more with less waste. Even though our courses have been successful, the curriculum is always changing because the business always changes. New problems, new products, and/or new policies or procedures, require us to update continually. The partnership between E-One and CFCC is a win-win for all involved.
