Health Professional Institute

CFCC is an authorized Continuing Education provider for many of the health-care professions that require training for initial or licensure renewal. The college offers up-to-date courses to meet ongoing and new continuing education requirements.

CFCC is an American Heart Association Community Training Center offering a broad range of AHA training courses including Basic Life Support for health care providers, Heart Saver courses, and courses in first and AED (Automated External Defibrillation).

Additionally, CFCC provides several entry level training courses which will enable individuals to enter the workforce in a relatively short time period. For example the Certified Nursing Assistant Training CFCC will qualify individuals to take the Florida state examination for certification as a Nursing Assistant. Our graduates are highly sought after by health care agencies.

RN/LPN Refresher/Remediation Course

CFCC is a Florida State Board Approved training site for nurses needing to complete course and clinical work prior to retaking the NCLEX exam. The course is also approved for nurses who have not worked for a number of years and desire to reenter the job market. The theory portion of the program is designed as an independent study course, and the clinical is individually planned with your goals in mind. Anyone interested in this course must set up a meeting with the program coordinator prior to registration to review individual requirements for entry into the course.

Phlebotomy
This course is designed to prepare participants to work in laboratories and blood banks. Students receive classroom, skills lab, and clinical experience designed to prepare them to seek jobs in this rapidly growing field.

Certified Nursing Assistant Training
The Certified Nursing Assistant Training program at CFCC is designed to prepare students for employment as Nursing Assistants. This program offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills that prepares students for an expanding role in the health care environment.
TABE scores of 10 or higher are required prior to registering for the class.
